Volunteering
Interested in volunteering at River FM 92.9?
That’s great!
Like most community radio stations in Australia, we rely heavily upon the generous help of volunteers in the community. River FM 92.9 currently has 70 volunteer members and this number is growing all the time.
There are plenty of things to get involved with at the station. Not everyone who works in radio has ‘The Golden Voice’. In fact, there are plenty of people who choose not to go on air at all. If you have got a specific skill or a great attitude, chances are you will fit right in.
If you are wondering what is in it for you, volunteering at River FM 92.9 has a range of benefits. You will make new friends, work with like-minded people, learn a skill and become a part of the community.
Joining as a volunteer member also means you will get full use of the station’s equipment such as the Internet, digital recorders and digital cameras.

Here is what you need to know.
River FM 92.9 is always on the lookout for new and interesting presenters to join our team. You may be looking to have a show of your own, you might want to team up with others, or you might want to join our team of backup presenters to do just the occasional show.
If you want to be an announcer on air, you should read through the New Presenter Application Form document.
If you prefer to remain behind the scenes and don’t want to be on air at all, we need volunteers that can help out in the music library, in the office, with fundraising and promotions and in many more ways. If you are good at something then we could probably use you!
